Adding a new collection

Go to https://search.minitex.umn.edu:8443, Crawl URLs...

• Add the root from which the new collection should be crawled to "Start Crawling from".
• Add appropriate entries to "Follow and Crawl Only".
• Add appropriate entries to "Do Not Crawl". (Often none are needed.)
• Until you add this new crawl to the "mdl" collection, remember to look for results in the "default_collection".

Go to Collections and edit the MDL collection.

• Add appropriate patterns to "Include Content Matching".

Wait a day for indexing to catch up (9pm to 6am).

Fixing display issues for a new collection

The core of the display changes are handled in the imageheader.js script. Look there for additional code needed to facilitate pretty display of any new collection.
